Focus on Orff & Bernstein this week

Thanks for a great rehearsal last Monday night. I’ve been listening to the recordings, and passed the Bernstein recording on to Shelley so she has an idea of where we’re starting with that piece.

This Monday we’ll concentrate on the 13 movements of Carmina Burana. Daniella will return to sing her two solo movements. (Our baritone soloist, Erich Tusch, will be coming on April 7 for the first time.) In the latter part of this Monday’s rehearsal, we’ll focus on a couple sections of the Bernstein that are the most “at risk” at this point.

Thanks go out to the 40+ members who brought signed photo release forms last week. If you didn’t, please download a copy here, print, sign, and bring with you on Monday.

Riser update: The risers are ordered and will be delivered in plenty of time for our May concert! We’re grateful to the donors who contributed specifically for this project (I’ll wait to acknowledge them to make sure I include everyone.) I specifically want to acknowledge and thank Jen Scopaz’s father, John Scopaz, who built the prototype last season for us to inspect and evaluate. That prototype was an important step in this process.

Remember that we have access to TMH only at 7:30 pm because of another group in the hall before us (same for March 31). Please arrive at 7:30 pm and be ready to set up quickly.

We have a great start. Invest in the momentum!
