It’s hard to believe, but the year has come and gone. It’s been a year filled with great rehearsals and moving performances. I’m proud of my association with each of you!

For rehearsal this Monday: Remember that we cannot enter until 7:00 pm on Monday, but please come in plenty of time to set up, greet friends, warm up, and be ready to rehearse at 7:30 pm. A prompt start is something that’s important for all of us. There are no rehearsal on December 23 or 30. Our next rehearsal is Monday, January 6.

As a small holiday gift, here are the recordings from July’s performances of the 1812 Overture and The Stars and Stripes Forever at Caramoor. We didn’t have room to include them in the 2018-2019 CDs, so here they are.

It seems that many communities north of I-287 did get considerable snow and ice last week, so I think it’s best that we did cancel. But we’re back at it this Monday!

The rehearsal plan is unchanged from last week.

Please note for December 16: There is a TMH Academy event on stage prior to our rehearsal. It won’t affect rehearsal, but we cannot enter to set up until the Academy clears at 7:00 pm. So please wait to enter until we have the all clear to go. This is for December 16 only.

PS – This week’s Sign of the Times:  If you have a daughter who played Let It Go continuously for months on end, get ready for Into the Unknown from Frozen II. This one-man a capella version, however, is an amazing technical feat.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, your families, and your friends! We are lucky to enjoy so many gifts, and it’s good to stop and take stock of how lucky we all are. I am particularly grateful for all of you, for your musicianship, and for your dedication to this ensemble.

Next Monday we’re rehearsing Svanhoe, Gershwin, and Saucedo. I received a reply from Erika Svahoe concerning the questions I posed concerning her suite, and rehearsed with Josh Pierce, our Gershwin pianist, on Tuesday. This is going to be a great program!
