Music stands
We have a couple new full-time members, and a couple subs sitting in with us on Monday night (I invited them to give an opportunity to experience the dynamic of our ensemble). We’ve been getting by with “just enough” stands for a while now, so we will undoubtedly run out on Monday, as most players want a stand of their own.
So, I’m looking for 12-15 volunteers to bring your own folding music stand, to reduce the stress of the music stand inventory. Thanks in advance for considering to bring your own.
I will add an agenda item for our next board meeting to purchase a few more Manhasset stands. Until that purchase is approved and expedited, please consider keeping that folding stand in the car for quick access for additional rehearsals.
TMH rear parking lot
If you are accustomed to arriving early and parking in the rear lot off of Kaldenberg Place, please do not park in the first three spaces (closest to the street) until future notice. Karina has asked that we refrain from parking in those spaces so students in their Academy classes, taking place in the Annex, can park there.
Music part downloads
If you haven’t already, please be sure to download all nine works on this program from this Google Drive folder. IMPORTANT: Please be sure that you’ve downloaded the correct version of Copley – Ayo; revised and corrected parts were uploaded from the publisher on Thursday at 2:00 pm. Be sure that the file name you’ve downloaded includes REVISED.
Black concert folders will be distributed on Monday for those using paper print-outs. If you are intending to use your iPad Pro, consider coming to the ForScore clinic for tips and tricks, immediately before rehearsal on Monday at 7:00 pm, in the front left audience section of the Hall.
Rehearsal plan for Monday
My rehearsal plans are always posted at wsw.ebernet.biz, the front page of my blog for WSW members. Please check it weekly to prepare for rehearsal. You can see the plan for Monday night right now. And please explore the additional info posted, both on the front page and via the menus for just about everything you might want to know about playing in this wonderful ensemble.
I ask that percussion arrive weekly by 7:00 pm to set up equipment, and all other members arrive every week by 7:15 pm to set up your own chair and stand. We start promptly at 7:30 pm. After rehearsal ends, we ask everyone to clear their own chair/stand back to where you found it. Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks — see you Monday night!
