Happy New Year!
I hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays. It’s hard to believe the New Year is about to begin. We’re starting up again this coming Monday, January 2, and we have less than a month now until our Winter Concert on January 29. I have updated the Resources page with flyers, and we’ve already seen our publicity information posted on several local sites. As we rehearse toward our January 29 concert, I’m also keeping an eye on our NYSBDA performance on March 4. I am going to work with Nancy to get Spring concert parts out as early as possible, so you can start to review the three pieces from Spring that we are playing at NYSBDA. (Note that we’ll have only 3 rehearsals to prepare these new pieces, and review the works pulled from the Winter concert.) Below you’ll find information from Rachel Eckhaus about our special hotel rate in Syracuse.
Keep in mind that we’ve reserved Wednesday, January 18 as a snow date for rehearsal, in case Mother Nature forces us to cancel a significant amount of rehearsal (ie, one or more!). Please keep this date in mind in your calendar.
There’s also a note below about the Cortlandt Chamber Orchestra’s New Year’s Day Gala Concert on Sunday, conducted by our friend, Rich Simons.
See you Monday at TMH — the rehearsal plan is posted!
NYSBDA Winter Symposium Performance
Here is the information we’ve secured for a special hotel rate in Syracuse, put together by Rachel Eckhaus. Contact her if you have any questions. Click here for the info in the NYSBDA Google Doc. I will update that document with further information as we move closer to the date. The link is also referenced on my Resources page.
Cortlandt Chamber Orchestra concert on January 1
