Great job!

Thanks, everyone, for an outstanding performance on Saturday evening! It seemed that you took my suggestion seriously — to play emotionally and not hold back. I am grateful to our guests, Darryl, Kristen, and Sam for their contributions. And I am very happy that we have one performance of Moth and Kingfishers under our belts as we move forward toward the June 19 concert.

On Monday, May 23, we are meeting again at Kol Ami, in the little chapel at the back of the property, PLEASE BRING MUSIC STANDS. The Board is meeting at 6:30 pm, and we are rehearsing at 7:30 pm. (Mark Dodge will contact the percussion section about plans for that evening.) Be sure to bring music stands. We’ll be discussing the May 14 performance, and rehearsing the Exchange Concert rep (Cuong, Zare, Mackey). Be prepared for a portion of the rehearsal to be rehearsed with “shuffled” seating, ie., sitting next to players/sections other than your own.

I’ll write again later this week with more details for Monday, but I wanted to get this out to congratulate and thank you for a job well done on Saturday!

And yes — my site is up and running again. Hopefully, we’ve nailed it this time. (Thank you, Eric Milkie!)
