No seriously, it’s really spring

Don’t let the cold weather fool you — it really is spring, and our concert is a little more than a month away. Tomorrow evening’s rehearsal will pull together the final section of the Williams march, which we didn’t have time to complete last week, vitalize the tempi in Moth, revisit the Mendelssohn accompaniment (Barton has arranged the missing 4 measures for us), plus the Smith and Mackey. It’s simply another important rehearsal.

The flute section is having a rehearsal at 6:45 pm. I know the trumpets had a sectional on March 28. Who else is jumping on the sectional bandwagon?

Next week, on April 18, Jeff Ball, conductor of the Brooklyn Wind Symphony, who commissioned and premiered Moth, will be with us to clinic a rehearsal of that piece.

See you tomorrow!
